About us: Deyan Sinadinovich (Dejan Sinadinović) is regarded as one of the most exciting Serbian pianists. He studied with Arbo Valdma and Jasmina Gavrilovich at the Faculty of Music, University of Art in Belgrade and Eliso Virsaladze at the Tchaikowsky Conservatory in Moscow. Deyan Sinadinovich has been singled out for several high profile awards - the prestigious “Emil Hayek Prize” in 1982, “Award of the City of Belgrade for Creativity of the Young Ones” in 1989 for his interpretation of Brahms’ Piano Concerto Op. 83, top festival prize at the French Piano Institute Festival held in Paris on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Schola Cantorum - an achievement that gave him the opportunity to further concertize in Paris the following year. Since then, he has become a familiar figure on the international concert platform, recognised for the intensity and originality of his interpretations.
Deyan Sinadinovich has performed in Tchaikovsky Great Hall in Moscow, Studio Ernest-Ansermet off the Radio Suisse Romande in Geneve, Salle Cesar Franck in Paris, Glinka Hall in St. Petersburg, Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum in Prague, Kolarac Memorial Hall in Belgrade. Sinadinovich’s performances in the 2005-07 season included recitals in Glazunov Hall in St. Petersburg, London, Haden Freeman Concert Hall in Manchester, at the Worcester International Piano Series and in London, Leominster and Stow in England, at the Festival MUSIKHØST in Denmark, “International Piano Week Festival” in Neckargemünd, Augsburg, Oberkirchen and Heidelberg, at the “Havelländische Musikfestspiele” in Brandenburg, “International Pianorama Festival” in Palazzo Lenzi Hall in Florence, “Hammerklavier” international festival at the Auditorio Viader in Girona, l’Ateneu Barcelonès in Barcelona, at the Sant Pere de Rodes Music Festival in Spain, at the “Pianotune” International Festival in Hasselt, Belgium, at the 10th International Bellapais Music Festival in Bellapais in North Cyprus and at the Arbo Valdma Academy concert series in Blonay, Switzerland.
He is artistic director and conductor of the New Moment Ensemble that joins best instrumentalists from Balkans. With this orchestra he successfully worked as a pianist and conductor under the supervision of Michael Nyman on his chamber opera “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat” at the 2002 “Ideas-Campus” festival in Piran, Slovenia. After the Slovenian premiere of the Opera, Michael Nyman declared that was “the best performance of his music ever”. Later the same year, “New Moment Ensemble” performed this Opera at the prestigious BITEF festival in Belgrade.
He is a professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Art in Belgrade where he served as the Vice-Dean from 2002-2006.
