Eva Zöllner, born in Germany in 1978, was educated as classical accordionist at the Academy of Music Cologne, Germany and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark, studying with Geir Draugsvoll. She is a very active young accordionist devoting herself to contemporary music.
> Eva Zöllner has performed as a soloist in most European countries, in the USA, Canada, Mexico and in Japan. She has been playing with leading ensembles for contemporary music (e.g. musikFabrik, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group) and symphony orchestras such as Beethoven Orchester Bonn. She is regularly perfoming with different chamber mus formations, particularly realizing own concepts and ideas, for example in the range of multimedia arts. In 2004 Eva was invited to perform as a soloist at the “Nachwuchsforum” of Ensemble Modern. She is regular guest artist at diverse contemporary music festivals and concert series.
> An important part of her activity is the close cooperation with composers. During the last few years she has premiered more than 50 new works for accordion, both in Germany and abroad. She is planning to release her debut-cd with works by Mexican composers in 2009. www.eva-zoellner.de
